Lenzing Plastics Business Unit Filaments produces under the name of DOLAN® and Dolanit® high quality acrylic fibers.
DOLAN® is used in different outdoor applications (sun shades, awnings, cover fabrics for outdoor furniture and tops for convertibles and boats).
Dolanit® is used in technical fibers, especially in high temperature friction applications in the industry, solutions for filtration and fiber-reinforced composite for the construction industry as well as in the reinforcement of thermoplastics.
Furthermore, Lenzing produces special polyacrylonitrile fibers in cooperation with European Precursor GmbH – a joint venture of Lenzing, Kelheim Fibres and SGL Carbon. These fibers are the precursor to the production of carbon fibers.
