Purpose & key responsibilities of the role

• You will be responsible for Trademark Prosecution actions (eg Office Actions; Oppositions; Non-Use-Cancellations; Invalidation Actions) within a specific region
• You will provide legal advice to, and cooperate with, regional marketing departments, Corporate Communication, our Global Branding Service, and other e-branding projects, including offline processes
• You will be involved in Trademark Litigation Actions (Active/Passive), including claim settlement and Co-Existence and IP-Assignment Agreements
• You will support the management of key accounts in relation to Brand Partner Agreements, Marketing License Agreements, Co-Branding Agreements, Influencer Agreements, and documentation for events & sponsoring projects

Our expectations for this exciting role

• You hold a degree in Law and have passed the Bar Exam
• You have a minimum of 5 years experience in a global corporation or law firm, and considerable expertise in intellectual property law with a focus on trademark, copyright, advertising, and unfair competition laws
• You have a good understanding of business law, especially corporate and contract law at an international level and technical knowledge or experience with know-how protection matters
• You have a confident, assertive manner and excellent negotiation skills; and you work well in intercultural teams
• You are fluent in English and Chinese, both spoken and written
