As compared with generic viscose, the production of LENZING™ ECOVERO™ has a substantially smaller environmental footprint. We strive to help build a cleaner and greener world by taking less from the environment, maximizing resource efficiency and minimizing waste in the production process.

Sustainable wood source

The wood, used as raw material for all LENZING™ ECOVERO™ fibers, is sourced from controlled or certified origins, meeting FSC® or PEFC standards. The non-profit environmental protection organization Canopy has consistently ranked Lenzing among the top viscose producers worldwide, due to its sustainable wood and pulp sourcing.

    LENZING™ ECOVERO™ fibers are identifiable via tracing technology. They are produced with a molecular marker which ensures the authenticity and traceability of LENZING™ ECOVERO™ fibers even after processing into textile products.

LENZING™ ECOVERO™ Viscose in black

LENZING™ ECOVERO™ fibers are not only available in white, but also in black. They are produced in a special spin-dyeing process in which black color pigments are directly incorporated in the fibers. This can eliminate the need for additional downstream dyeing steps, resulting in up to 50% less energy and water consumption, while achieving up to a 60% reduction in carbon footprint compared to conventional dyeing. Beyond that garments made with LENZING™ ECOVERO™ black fibers can be washed with a minimized risk of color loss or transfer.

LENZING™ ECOVERO™ with REFIBRA™ technology

LENZING™ ECOVERO™ with REFIBRA™ technology is Lenzing's next generation viscose fiber solution. Made by combining controlled or certified wood sources with pre- and post-consumer textile waste, LENZING™ ECOVERO™ with REFIBRA™ technology contains a minimum of 20 percent recycled cotton that helps to further reduce the reliance on virgin materials. Through breathing new life into waste, we are redefining circularity and driving positive impact for a more regenerative environment.
