Maintenance Supervisor (I&E and Mechanical)

Purpose & key responsibilities of the role:

  • Manage the Mechanical and I&E technicians and contractor personnel working in the engineering department
  • Maintain engineering drawings and documentation system to ensure accuracy and proper updating as revisions are implemented
  • Track plant maintenance budgets with cost/benefit evaluations to achieve maximum plant reliability within available budget
  • Assist Engineering, Maintenance & Reliability Manager with accountability for day-to-day plant maintenance responsibilities such as assigning and verifying completion of tasks, providing technical decisions and problem solving on critical items, guide the maintenance team to ensure 24-hour support for plant
  • Developing planned maintenance systems to improve efficiency and reduce costs
  • Instruct Engineering, Maintenance & Reliability Manager with storeroom inventory control using the inventory control software (MLS), and storeroom clerk supervision
  • Provide input to ensure the engineering department complies with the business unit Safety, Health, and Environmental policy
  • Ensure Engineering standards at LFI are maintained and that they comply with both Legal and Company policies, Complies with Business/Quality policy and objectives
  • Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving, and adhering to safety policies in all work environments and areas

Our expectations for this exciting role:

  • Completion of a recognized 4-year mechanical or I&E apprenticeship program/ Associates/Technical Degree preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience in an industrial environment with supervisory experience strongly preferred.
  • Management skill for dealing with people and situations
  • Comprehensive computer software knowledge required, including Excel, Word, Auto CAD, SAP, etc.is preferred
  • Analytical or systematic approach skills to trouble shoot problems and find solutions
  • Strong mechanical comprehension a plus
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations
