As one of the innovation and sustainability leaders in the area of wood-based cellulose fibers, we have a big responsibility. We are active in many countries with different cultures and laws. The global Code of Conduct of the Lenzing Group and our compliance guidelines help us to live our established standards and joint corporate values throughout the world. Our values define how we work. Lenzing stands for sustainable business transactions

With its compliance commitment, the Lenzing Group clearly declares its stance of rejecting violations of any kind. This unequivocal commitment is supplemented by various group guidelines that are not only mandatory for all employees of the Lenzing Group but also for our partners along the value chain. These policies establish behavioral standards and help us to comply with integrity, conform to regulations and ethical practices as an integral part of our corporate culture. This is necessary to ensure that Lenzing products meet our strict criteria from the very first minute. We not only expect this ourselves as Lenzinger staff but also our customers and partners. They trust that our products comply with what we promise.

 

Compliance is Teamwork

Our compliance organization is transnational and composed of international experts led by the Group Compliance Officer, who reports directly to the executive board and the supervisory board. The executives of the Lenzing Group have the task to increase the awareness of the subject of compliance in their team and are also our mouthpiece in all worldwide business units. They ensure that values such as reliability, honesty, trustworthiness and integrity are supported and consistently lived together by all employees.

We expect our employees to be alert and look carefully. This occurs alongside the public sector, the economy and civil society – because only joint action can improve the basic conditions for responsible business practices in the long term. This benefits the company and is our contribution to worldwide sustainable development.

Express your concerns

Have you become aware of incidents within the Lenzing Group in which you have doubts whether they comply with legal regulations, the Code of Conduct or the compliance guidelines of the Lenzing Group? Serious indications help us to counteract violations early on and avert damages caused by our companies. The indications can be submitted – also anonymously upon request – in-house via various reporting channels or online using our BKMS® whistleblower system. The possibility to submit indications is not only available to all employees of the Lenzing Group, but also to customers, suppliers and other third parties throughout the world.
