Purpose & key responsibilities of the role

  • You will prepare and conduct negotiations for technical service demands  for the Lenzing site in Upper Austria, including the documentation of commercial agreements in line with the relevant internal directives
  • You will conduct requests for quotations & proposals; work with internal stakeholders to manage claims; and carry out a range of operative tasks for Purchasing Management
  • You will identify, develop & implement local purchasing strategies with the buying teams, taking into consideration price, budgets and internal customer demands
  • You will identify, lead & realize savings projects, carrying out market analysis and conducting inquiries
  • You will negotiate & develop confidentiality agreements with suppliers as required
  • You will work alongside internal stakeholders to qualify new suppliers, assessing their technological competence, manufacturing capacity, reliability, etc

Our expectations for this exciting role

  • You hold an advanced Commercial, Legal or Technical degree; or a Bachelor’s degree with relevant business experience
  • You have considerable experience in industrial procurement, and you are proficient in cost breakdown structures, law/contracting, and tools for supplier development programs
  • You have good skills in SAP, MS Office, and data analysis
  • You are an excellent negotiator, and you have great communication skills in both German and English
  • You are a team player, with a proactive, results-oriented approach; a resilient, assertive character; and a responsible, independent mindset

The monthly gross salary for this position is according to collective agreement in the chemical industry based on 38 working hours/week at least EUR 4400.- with a willingness to overpay – depending on qualifications and experience. Additionally you will also take part in the Lenzing bonus system. We offer flexible working time and remote working options.
