Product Sustainability Analyst

Purpose & key responsibilities of the role
The Product Sustainability Analyst will implement quantitative and qualitative assessment of the sustainability metrics of Lenzing products, operations and suppliers.
Principal accountabilities/Main tasks:
- You will prepare and conduct Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) calculations of Lenzing facilities, products & new product concepts; and you will keep track of the development of LCA methodology
- You will help to answer customer queries and facilitate their engagement with sustainability information about Lenzing products, including the development of communication materials (e.g. snapshots, fact sheets)
- You will provide data analysis, review and KPI support with crossfunctional departments, such as the Commercial teams (LCA data); Corporate Communications (Sustainability Report); Investor Relations (ESG ratings); Procurement (supplier data); and Corporate Risk (ESG risks)
- You will assist in responding to industry questionnaires/benchmarking and ESG ratings; and you will contribute to multi-stakeholder initiatives (e.g. Cascale, UN fashion charter, EDANA) for the development of tools like MSI, LCA databases and industry/regulatory standards (e.g. EU-PEF)
- You will contribute to the product sustainability strategy & roadmaps on specific topics (e.g. climate, water, biodiversity), and support preparations towards implementing upcoming EU regulations (e.g. Green claims, Empowering consumers, Ecodesign for Sustainable Products)
- You will provide sustainability integration support in other business areas: analytics for sustainability report, implementation of industry tools, target progress, branding & environmental claims review, new product concepts based on sustainability benefits with commercial teams, procurement clauses, supplier engagement etc.
Your ideal profile
- You hold an MSc degree e.g. in Engineering or Science, or equivalent experience in the field of Sustainability, Eco-design etc.
- You have 1-2 years of experience with Life Cycle Assessment (LCA)
- You have good English language skills, both written & spoken (B2 level); German would be an advantage
- You have strong analytical skills, a process-oriented mindset, and good problem-solving abilities; and you are able to work in a team and independently
- Project management skills would be an advantage
- You are willing to work in an international environment, and to travel occasionally

The monthly gross salary for this position (in line with the collective agreement in the chemical industry and based on a 38-hour working week), will be at least €4.200,- with a willingness to overpay depending on qualifications and experience.
