Purpose & key responsibilities of the role:

  • Ability to troubleshoot control loops, which require some PLC experience (Allen Bradley Control Logix), and the ability to read ladder logic, electrical schematics and instrument loop diagrams.
  • Ability to calibrate, install, set-up and troubleshoot industrial process instrumentation (level, temp, flow etc.) and analytical process instrumentation (Ph, conductivity etc.) and field devices such as control valve actuators and positioners etc.
  • Maintain all electrical (includes medium (12700) and low (480) voltage) and instrumentation equipment in a safe and professional manner.
  • Perform daily safety checks and inspections in all areas, including general housekeeping.
  • Strive for continuous improvement of processes and equipment
  • Be responsible for OT coverage and possible "Call Ins" when required.

Our expectations for this exciting role

Education:

  • 4 years of field "Hands On" Electrical experience with formalized training in industrial instrument and electrical from an accredited technical school or equivalent training and experience.

Skills/Knowledge/Experience:

  • Industrial manufacturing plant experience.
  • Ability to read electrical loop diagrams.
  • Ability to operate and troubleshoot medium (12700) voltage and low (480) voltage distribution systems including starters, circuit breakers and other line equipment.
  • Good self motivated team player with excellent communication skills
  • Inverter experience (480 volt drives)
  • Rotating shift work may be required.
